Seen & Heard: Blizzard of 2013

20130210-222301.jpgWell, we have survived the blizzard of 2013 (affectionately called “Nemo”) and while we got a lot of snow, I was pleased with how the State prepared.

Governor Deval Patrick and his staff were smart to implement the driving ban that kept folks off the roads and at home.

Let’s be honest, I know that if the state had not have implemented the ban, there would have been folks driving up and down Main Street or Park Avenue acting the fool.

And, every grocery store and bodega in Worcester was barren when it came to bread, milk, batteries and, in some cases, bottled water so I was thankful that I didn’t have to use my ’emergency’ supplies. 20130210-222119.jpgI neglected to fill my car with gas on Thursday, so I decided to go to the XtraMart gas station on Providence Street on Friday morning.

The XtraMart was busy, but it wasn’t as busy as I thought it was going to be.

Shoot, I’ve been at the same gas station when there wasn’t a blizzard looming and it was so busy that you’d think they were giving away something for free!

So, how did you ‘make out’ with the Blizzard of 2013?20130210-222142.jpg20130210-222207.jpg
